Dreamweaver - Broken Links
Hi All,
I’d be really grateful for some help please. I’m having trouble updating my website with a new banner. The index page updates fine, but when I update the other pages, the banner and image links get broken, only the text appears on the pages. Does anyone know what’s going wrong? The website is: http://www.lotusespritturbo.com I’m using a Dreamweaver 2. Thanks for any help you can give, Mark |

I guess from what i see that you've fixed it.
If not, post a url of the page with broken images. If I were you, I would not use spaces in filenames.... it just isnt done on the web.

I haven't published the pages yet. I was hoping to make all the pages have the same banner as the index page. Every time I edit the older pages, the image links break when viewed in an iexplorer preview (off line through Dreamweaver). I haven't used a template, which might be part of the problem.
I have wanted to change the spaces too. Hopefully will do, if I can sort this problem out. Mark. |

view the source of the page with broken images.
Look at the image paths.... I bet they are wrong.

Hi All,
I’m having a few more problems with Dreamweaver and I’d be really grateful for some help please. Firstly, how do you edit the image path? I've imported the images using the command insert image into a layer (from the website content in a folder on my C drive). I’ve noticed from the site map tree on Dreamweaver, that the index page is at the top (as normal), and below are the links to the other pages, but there are also links to pictures on the index page. This is really weird as I haven’t linked the pictures to the document. Anthor question I have is, is it ok to have layers on top of each other? When the index page is viewed on a Mac, the layer with a table of content buttons moves 2cm up the screen. The banner is below it, which is also on a layer. Do anyone know what’s going on? Thanks for any help you can give, http://www.lotusespritturbo.com cheers, Mark. |
