Re: slicing an image
Why would you need to slice odd shapes? Images can only be rectangles.

Re: slicing an image
i just wanted to slice it up to use in flash, to have the effects of each triangle area coming together

Re: slicing an image
the GIMP has a great tool for slicing pics up - but all i have used it for is to slice up a pic and use parts as links, is that what you need it for?

Re: slicing an image
i'm no flash expert but i could swear using the break tool only breaks up grouped images.
perhaps you could just magnet lasso the images out in several copies in photoshop and put them in one flash animation?? good luck with that anyways aaron, i would trey but i dont haveflash or photoshop on this pc and my other one doesnt work anymore :'( |

Re: slicing an image
nope tryed, looks like i just dont have the skill, basically i wanted it to enter in ( implode in ), then on mouse roll-over each piece to reveal the 'titles' at the end of the black bars, plus a click here for more, then on click, for it to go into a scroll text, that i can input my own text ( explaining the different parts of the chart ) ( all with - un-decided - swap movement to switch from one to the other ( also a back button on the end of each scroll text section )
could you tell me exacelly how to do that ? p.s, i wanted to change the background colour behind the pie to white ( if its possible in flash ) uuurrrm, i dont have any idea cheers

Re: slicing an image
hey so if i get this right you want the image to all be broken up and then implode as one pizza when you view the page and then when you click each pizza on rollover it shows the text title for each part and a a "Back More Button" in bottom Left is that all

Re: slicing an image
thats it, i think youve got it, - but when they are clicked, it takes you to the text of that section ( image2 ) ( i am a little thick when it comes to flash )
anything else you can do to improve it would be very cool thanks
