Free Flash Intros

Hi,

I signed up here to see if i could get a free flash intro banner made for me. I'm actually needing this for school as we are re-designing the website. I have had no luck with trying my flash banners and have given in. As we are a non-profit orginisation i would like to know if anyone would be kind enough to make me this for free?

Tell your school not to use flash and to just make it accessible via HTML and CSS.

Well i would need a website or something made for me. Does anyone have any school web templates available that i can edit?

Why do you have to make their website? Schools generally pay professionals to make their websites for them.
After all, it is an advert to join the school.

I am part of the school comitee and it's my job to make the website. Although i don't have much experience in the subject...

Bret, just try Googling "free template web site" or something. There are tons of them.

There are actual governing laws regarding public websites to be as accessible as possible. I.E all .gov .org and .ac.uk sites that are generally run by councils etc, should comply with thing like the disability act and such like.

the data protection act and some other law, means you can't actually, put that much about the school. you need to get permission from the pupil's parents to put pictures up. i have to be carefull because i run an under 18 drama club's website. they've had to get permission from the partents to put pictures on. i put pictures on but thier stage names and no thier real names. hope that may help in what sorta content your going to use.

To be quite honest, this sounds like a perfect candidate for a drupal, or mambo site. Building a drupal / mambo site is still a tall order for anyone without knowledge of PHP and design, and it's doubtful you will find anyone who is prepared to build this for free.

Let me suggest you DO NOT use a splash / intro page..... if you do, then you are adding an extra click for visitors to get to your content. Additionally, splash/intro pages are notoriously bad for SEO.
