Another design, opinions welcome

This took about an hour and a half...I had a picture of the sky and made a design. Opinions are welcome, good or bad, thanks!.

over on the right where it says "Launch Project", the image will be displayed of whatever you roll your mouse over....for ex...if you roll the mouse over "Simon"....a picture we have entitled "Simon" will appear under the "Launch Project" sky. Just an idea. Does anyone think that it's worth coding ?. Of course more things and features can be added to it, and when you click a link, just the middle part will change with all the information in the middle column.

Are you selling these layouts or something?

oh, well no, not really...that wasn't the plan...I was just trying to come up with new ideas for our site, so I was just seeing what appeals to people the most. Or what kind of designs appeal to people the most, you know, like the lighter stuff, or the dark, rich look..., or maybe just in between.

That's very nice, as an interface.
Good artwork and a professional, clean, clynical finish.
I'd like to see how the links work.

Don't like the reflection beneath the logo. Well, I do, but I don't think it works as a 3D reflection because the similar reflection effect used on the three panels is so spatially effective (also, it's at a different angle).

Having said that, it's a nice effect having something showing beneath the main panel. Maybe something else could be used there instead?

If you're into Flash, a design like that could be a good candidate.

ie. The cloud images could be on a transitional loop (like when you see the speeded up clips of clouds forming over a period of time). Can think of lots you could do in Flash with a design like that. The buttons, the frames, ooo I'm starting to dribble!

You wouldn't believe this, but I had asked someone to do that in flash, the loop of clouds I mean. Yes, thanks for your input, it's always good to see fellow designers giving critique .

I would also be interested to know if you people like the original site better, which is www.vertexed.com or there are the other 2 designs that aren't coded yet which could be possibilities.... and they are www.vertexed.com/testdesign.html and the one that you saw already which is www.vertexed.com/testdesign1.html . Thanks!, also, thanks to squirrel for his input on the flash idea, I may go with it.

The 2 new ones are cool but if your trying to sell your services the original is the most professional and corporate looking. Also probably the most exstensible for future content as well. Good work though.

I've been thinking about that look all day.
Really nice and it has a style all of its own.

I hope you do something in Flash with it.
Can't wait to see how the all the links and buttons turn out.

Hey, you know what would be great....if any of you guys had AIM instant messenger to give ideas back and forth and share your work. I always like to talk to other designers and see what they come up with and exchange opinions.
