These should get you on the right path.
- For gradients and smooth shading use .jpg graphics and not .gif as .gif leave colour bands like you see on your site.
- Get the damn thing off Geocities and onto a proper domain and proper hosting (PM me and I might be able to help you out). People will not take you seriously while it's on geocities.
- Site is FAR too wide. Needs to e no wider than about 780 px so it can be viewed on a 800x600 resolution.
- You're right about it being symetrical... Try using different graphics in the top corners...
- "Voices of Violence" looks more like "Violence of Voices" because the word Violence is up top...Switcheroo!
- There's not mch code there at the moment which means you haven't really got to fix anything. But I'll Advise you now, make an effort to use nice clean, valid markup in XHTML styled by external CSS. It may take longer to get going but will pay off big time in the long run.
