This is a redesign of a site I made about 2 years ago. The new one is constructed using flex, content driven by xml. The old one is pure HTML.

Old site:
www.downhillwine.com

New site:
http://205.234.145.204/~down/

What do you think?

Re: Winery Web Site

you mean i should create a custom cursor instead of using default... because white is default. What does "small location" mean and how could I improve the navigation?

Re: Winery Web Site

You can't create a custom cursor (not without flash)

And I think by small location he means the sitemeter.com logo. I would use Google Analytics, you don't have to have a small thing like that with them.

And the email button looks a little bit cheesy

Make sure the thing extends all the way down.

Re: Winery Web Site

thanks, i appreciate your comments. The centering trick is done with CSS. You have to specify the width and height of the container, and then make the margin-top half the height and the margin-left half the width... its hard to explain... here's the code

CSS:
Code: Select all
#wrapper
{
	width: 750px;
	height: 600px;
	position: absolute;
	top: 50%;
	left: 50%;
	margin-left: -375px;
	margin-top: -300px;
}
HTML:
Code: Select all
<div id="wrapper">
content
</div>

Re: Winery Web Site

I really like it. The only issue i have is that i can't see your logo because my toolbars are blocking it so i have to close each toolbar to see more of the top of the page so you need to look in to that.

Otherwise a great job
