We've just started our business and we'd like some critique on our web design. Is it clear what we sell? Navigable? Etc.

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks

Re: New home brewing company website

Who ever designed/coded that site knows what they're doing. That is quite a nice site.

Re: New home brewing company website

I like the site very much. The color scheme is easy on the eyes and everything was easy to find. Navigation was good.

I did find 2 spelling errors, though. On the Products page under "Making Your Own Brew" the word 'aroun' s/b 'around'. And on the Basic Starter Kit page, in the description, ".... to beginning" s/b "... to begin" ?

Otherwise, nice job!

Small detail:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...doctype=Inline

The 'contact us' link is a little hidden. Don't be affraid to let customers contact you. Having your contact information easily available gives the impression you're 'ready to help' if the the customer/visitor needs it.
I suggest putting it up about the main banner, either near the 'shopping cart' link or on the left.

Other than that, it's an absolute 10 out of 10 from me!
Submit it to our website of the month competition.

Agreed.

THis site is very very good indeed!

The code is awesome but it fails validation for missing 3 simple alt tags...Get this fixed and then show that you have fully compliant code by putting [XHTML] and [CSS] links in your footer. This is the type of site that deserves them.

As a lover of beer I really want this to succeed. Good luck.

In general I also liked the site but then my eyesight is ok with or without the homebrew.

Seriously though, the one observation I would make is that some of you colour combination do not meet the accessibility requirements for people with colour perception problems.

Have these issues fixed and you've cracked it.
