Re: My new website

I no how annoying this is but found a spelling mistake

Embrase is spelled embrace lol :P

As for your site, i like it, can't say much as it is not fully done as you said, i would give it a bit more colour though, either with the headers or a background image, looks a bit bland at the moment.

ps check your pm

Re: My new website

it's nice, clean. I personally don't like the "hot pink" colour, but as you have only used a tiny splash here and there it holds together.

I'm not sure why you have such a big gap between the top and your header though....

Re: My new website

Thanks Welsh!

@hot pink - plus if you don't like the hot pink you will be able to change it to red / blue / orange and green

@ header that's where other bits and bobs will be going - and it wont be that big when its done.. i must have added some extra padding somewhere

Re: My new website

like the simplicity of the navigation, but I think it could use a little bit of development. The top navigation is just confusing. And the logo seems a bit bland, add some color in there. Other than that, great site. A prime example of beauty in simplicity.

Re: My new website

i thought the site when i arrived at was for a new box design for a toothpaste
and the design defeated its implied meaning.IMO

there's probabaly great graphics in design terms hidden in the opening statement about this is where brian or whatever your name hangs out

i want to be engaged by your site, not look at tabs that talk in CSS, XTHML etc
lingo. think up some new words for Home, About us , portfolio and
raise my curiosity to want to click on them

and take me ona facinating journey of your work etc

the major part of success in any marketing is satisfying the consumers needs
find out what they are interms of wbe sites and restructure your
copy and platform to answer their needs....you the consumer

you're coming across about code and less about marketing when your site
is a marketing tool

marketing in web is about
copy strategy/platform , art direction /design and code at the back

and
nothing happens until the strategy and copy is written

Hire yourself a professional copywriter.

find some shots or pics or illustrations that give you an edge
or take you a bit outside the usual boring box of the millions of
web sites that are as boring as ........

got v. good potential!
