Please review my coin collecting site

I have two sites, www.coincollecting101.com and www.fundraisingguide.net. The coin collecting site is a PR2 and is currently providing a little adsense and Amazon revenue. The fundraising site in a PR0 and only provides a little adsense revenue every other day. Any suggestions on how I can improve the sites or monetize them better? Thanks for your input.

As for your site, IMO opinion it's not your content, there is a wealth of information and it is easy to read...

BUT

I do not mean any offence by this but on first glances your site is boring, you need to grab your visitors attention and get them to stay. All they see on first glance are great big paragraphs of text and adverts, trim down your home page, reduce the amount of text by getting rid of some it from the homepage, and maybe offering a preview of the article, and a "read on" buttom.

Personally, I do like both these sites, and IMO appear professional and well designed.

But I can't help but agree (if only partly) with Craig regarding 'boring'.

However, all is not lost! Adding to Craig's points, try making the headers about twice their size and really grab the user's attention.

Another few improvements;

• Double the padding between paragraphs
• Give the navigation a makeover
• Spice up the background with stripes or a gradient

I truly believe that these will make a serious difference
