Alright first off sorry for before. Was immature and stupid and was being an . Since then I have been working on my photoshop skills and came up with this.

I realise the navigation could be done in photoshop or on javascript etc at the moment but hopefully when i develop some flash skills I will adds some different effects to it. The webpage actually stops before the ads. They are a footer added by my website host. Oh and its a template so it doesnt link to anything.

Is this just a concept? I hope so, because there isn't a single structure element such as headers or paragraphs. There are spacer gifs everywhere.

It's a mess, but hey... gets the job done which seems to be a growing mentality around here.

Flash: No.
Navigation in Flash: NOOO!
Navigation in Flash and with sounds: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to develop your flash skill, do not attempt to make website templates. Flash was never meant to make 'cool webpages with sounds'. Flash is for animations (movies and games).

Yes... This is a sad state of affairs.... I think on the spot bans for people who say "It get's the job done..."

ANyway...

Let's get to it.

The good.

• The layout, if tweaked a little... is promising. It has a corporate look to it that is fitting of the type of website you're making.

The bad.

• I think you must be prejudiced against text... In place of text for navigation... you used flash. In place of text for content... you used images. How are search engines supposed to know what you are?
• Some of the text is way too samll and because it's all based on images.. you can't make it bigger
• It's not centered so it looks un-professional.
• Sounds don't belong on a website 99% of the time. Never on the navigaton. That is just annoying.
• I don't like to see people writing sites like this when they clearly have NO understanding of writing HTML. New designers should be made to write with notepad for the first year by law. If they wanna use a program like DW after that then that's their choice. You've obviously used design view in a program like dreamweaver and have no grasp of what your actions in the GUI are doing to the code.

You need to sit down and learn the fundamentals of HTML and CSS....It may not be easy and it may bore you to tears but mark my words...You'll not progress without doing this.

I know how to use css for navigation. I was merely experimenting with photoshop. Basing the flash banner and navigation as its used a lot on templates like the once on templatemonster.com. Oh and the text could easily be done in dreamweaver and added on its own layer. Will keep that in mind for fututre photoshop designs. Also for my next one probably use css mouse over text and put them on a navigatiob built in photosho. Does that sound better?

You know what sounds better? Me not bothering to look at your experimental sites anymore. If you are just goofing around, why do you need critiques? Don't waste peoples time on stuff you aren't serious about.

in a more contructive sense, loose the styles inside your HTML and use CSS, and get it all validated if it hasnt already..

Theres a blank white box at the bottom of the site, what for?

You mean the ads from my hosting provider? Also yes this is just a concept as if I was going to make it I would have made the text actual text rather than images.

Very nice I like where your going with this! - maybe the watermark background could be a little lighter so the text has more contrast!
