blenndi.com
Project URL: http://www.blenndi.com
This new forum has a very neutral color scheme, concentrating on neutral tones with a splash of contrasting colors in high attention areas. This design was forced to follow some standard and often rigid layout guidelines as per the forum make-up - but the overall look and feel created the perfect blend of standardized features that forum users are accustomed to as well as a unique branded look for the company. End client's opinion aside I would like to get some insightful critique from fellow designers and illustrators alike. Please let me know your overall thoughts on layout, navigation and ease of use. Thanks in advance, Emotionmann |

Re: Forum Design Critique
I love it !!!
Your forum has a very attractive color scheme and easy to navigate. Keep up the good work I give it a 9.9/10 I would give it a 10 but nothing is perfect lol. Nice work though. |

Re: Forum Design Critique
Very very nice indeed. That is a really cool forum skin!
Few little errors need correcting: themeselves - new members description Here youc can - suggestion box im sure there are probably more but I noticed those two. Correcting them will make it the finished article. |

Re: Forum Design Critique
It'd be nice to have some borders on the topic lists etc, plus the site won't open if you have javascript turned off.
Otherwise yeah looks quite nice, but could definitely be made more eye-catching |

Re: Forum Design Critique
It's a little too dull for me. Nice skin, but the 'one color' focus is enough to make me yawn! It's a great effort, but feel it does need just a tad more color!
Obviously, this is just my own personal opinion, so take what you like from it.

Re: Forum Design Critique
My criticism is with the idea behind the site.
It doesn't seem to have decided what it wants to be. It has a major proportion (about 40-50% from what I could see) devoted to christian belief and the rest to nothing specific. I think you really wanted it to cater for christians in which case, I would compact the rest of the site and focus on the faith side of it. |

Re: Forum Design Critique
I find it hard to critique sites like this cos all PHP forums tend to look the same. It's been done well though, Good luck with it.

Re: Forum Design Critique
It's looking very nice, but you have too many categories and no topics. Try to create 40-50 new threads a day for some days to get to fill those empty categoires.
Good looking forum, nice effort. Best of luck with it |

Re: Forum Design Critique
I agree with focusing the subject matter. Too many forums try to cover too many subjects. People only have so much time to keep up to date and post threads.
Right off, I see two categories that can go. Culture and Government. They really don't fit the general focus of the site. Keep trying to narrow the subjects down even more. The more focused the site, the more focused the visitors will be and topics will get more attention. |
