Just launched and would like to know where I could improve. Everything was created by me in Photoshop so it is indeed mine. Thanks for your time.

Re: Your comments please

- I like the design - the "under water" effect of the footer does it for me. Sublte but well thought out.
- Validate your markup
- every page has the title "Adobe Photoshop Tutorials". What's that about? I hope it's not SEO...

Re: Your comments please

I like it! Great design, nice look & feel.

Compared to the whole website, the Google screenshot under News and Updates looks unprofessional. I know it's one small thing, but I found it unappealing when compared to the rest of your wonderful website design. Perhaps it would help if the screen shot didn't look so "bloated" and if it had a nice blending-border - a smooth transition between the black of the site and the white of Google pages.

I found the Guestbook difficult to read -- particularly in differentiating all of the different posts within the page. It might help if there is a horizontal rule separating all of the different posts, or if the date was bigger or had a header background -- it all seems to blend in, which makes it difficult to find particular entries, in case someone wanted to preview what they wrote.

I also found a few out dated links, you may want to fix that (the Login page gave a 404 error). People will stop coming to the website if they can't view certain pages.

Hope that helps!

Re: Your comments please

Overall not a bad web site, it is well organized and it was easy to navigate.

I do have a few suggestions to improve your web site :

1) For a casual visitor, he/she doesn't really know what your web site is all about. You should state clearly and concisely what "Empire Dezign" is.
"Deserted and left 4 Dead" got me confused. What is it?

2) In the top horizontal navigation menu, I would recommend changing the font to something that is more "readable" (the font that is presently used is a little harder for me to read). As it stands now, the letter "a" looks like a letter "o".

3) Also, the colour could be a brighter blue. I think the monotonous bluish color background you use conveys a sense of gloominess (maybe this is your sublime message). I would much prefer a more upbeat and cheerful color background such as bright colors or a rainbow of different colors to impart a sense of happiness. But, this is just my personal opinion.

4) In the Guestbook page, as member "ioud0001" has mentioned, it is hard to tell what Guestbook entry I'm reading. But unlike what that member has said, I do notice that there is a horizontal line/divider image after each entry. The line is just not as noticeable. I would suggest changing the colour of the horizontal line/divider image to something that is brighter so that different entries can stand out.

I like your "Tutorial" and "Gallery" sections. They are informative and enjoyable to linger on.

All in all, this is a good site.

Re: Your comments please

It is a nice site. I like the overall color scheme, and the way you have a menu bar and then when clicking one menu item it shows a sub-menu bar underneath.

Some comments:

- Not sure if it is just my eyes. Because of the type of the font used in the menu it is a little bit hard for me to recognize each menu item, or maybe it is because the font color and background color are too close.

- After clicking a menu item such as TUTORIALS, a sub-menu bar is shown. But the menu itme TUTORIALS itself is not shown in an esay to distinguish color/style so sometimes it may not be that easy to see where the sub-menu bar is comming from.

Overall a quite good site actually.

PS. Comments are based on the knowledge learned from my study of E-commrerce course as an Internet Applications Programmer student.

Re: Your comments please

Hi,

Not a bad looking website, I like the header and logo, great work on that, but I am not much of a fan of really dark websites like this one, but thats just a personal preference.
