Hi all,
I am currently designing and developing a CSS Gallery and just wondering on peoples thoughts on it. It currently only has one page at the time of me writing this post. I designed it with the intension of it being clean simple and easy to use. The navigation bar at the top is quite cool I think, it should fade and blur out the links not in focus. When you click on the Pics it should do a Mac style zoom to a bigger pic. Anyway let us know what your thinking and should I continue with this design. the site looks good so far - simple and clean. its great to get some more sites showing off good CSS. can you tell me how the zoom function is done? is it similar to lightbox? |

Cheers byrd80,
If you head over to http://www.cabel.name/draft1/2008/02/fancyzoom-10.html it should be simple enough for you to implement. |

Re: CSS Gallery Concept
first off, the nav button to the right of the submit one is not displaying.
secondly, the heart in the title at the top of the window in firefox is just displaying a little box thirdly, when i click on an image to enlarge, the image is jaggy because its being resized in the browser. And just out of curiousity, what font did you use for the logo?

I'm not getting the jaggy images CV?
Nice site shawzy. Clean cut and bold Personally, the navigation is not for me. It's a good idea, but I get thrown off by the actions of the other buttons, rather than the one I'm currently hovering on.

Re: CSS Gallery Concept
Hi,
Haven't been here for awhile, but I just thought I'd throw my CSS only designed photo gallery that I designed for my client. American Dragon Online Only CSS, and absolutely NO javascript. If you want to make one like it you can head over to my "CSS Guru's" site and get a TON of different CSS only galleries. CSS Play I donate regularly to his site because I don't like using javascript unless I have no options but to do so. All the Best. ClaireP |

Using javacript can increase the usability and visual appeal of your site I would advice you into looking into using it when the time calls for it. Just my opinion Capture. Last edited by shawzy85; Mar 22nd, 2008 at 11:29. |
