Café 29
Just finished this for a client. She was very happy with it.
Try not to be picky about the colors, those are what she wanted because her restaurant is run by all women, so it needed to be a little girly. Other than that, though, what do you think? |

Re: Café 29
that has made me hungrier than a hippo
i like it, even the colour scheme... the pages are a bit solw to load, so maybe look at optimizing some of the images a bit more, you also don't have cache enabled, so each page is taking up requests to the server, increasing it's load, and slowing it down. you have 45 errors in your code that you might want to look at. one of these may be causing your about us button to drop to a second line in FF. you need to look at your semantic markup as well. you have a number of <h1> tags on the home page. you really should only have one per page, then a number of <h2>'s and <h3>'s.

Re: Café 29
Personally, I think the colours are great!
Excellent website, with attention to detail (e.g the 'photo corners') The menu is pretty sleek too. My only nag would be to have a hover effect. It's second nature these days to expect something to happen when you put your mouse on it - just an added touch of interactivity What would really top it off would be valid code. There's a few of them, but by the looks of things, if you fixed the first one or two, the rest will follow suit. EDIT: Welshstew made some very excellent points about your code. You should look into it, especially if you're concerned about getting SE results (not to mention making your site accessible).

Re: Café 29
Only thing, bar the code, is a hover on the links. Users like to be rewarded for moving that mouse

Re: Café 29
Fantastic looking site! Bravo for the design, it's beautiful!
Code, needs some work. It seems a shame to have 45 validation errors when you've obviously put so much work into the look of the site. An extra push on the under the hood stuff will make the site legendary. Keep up the good work.

Re: Café 29
I no it's been said but i would really work on the code, the errors won't take that much to fix, and as jack mentioned you have too many h1 tags, 1 is what you need really.
The design is excellent though, can see you have put a lot of effort into this
