Asiana Press Agency

Happy New Year from the sunny Virgin Islands! I'm looking forward to receiving some of the excellent feedback posted for other sites in this section. The Asiana Press Agency is a fledgling source of news and images from Asia. From the design cues in a generic home page template, I built the rest of the site in static HTML, aided by Dreamweaver templates. Of primary concern is the ease of accessibility to the site's information, be it articles, country profiles or images. So far, I've remained in the 'build' mode and its been somewhat difficult to take a step back and view the site as a new visitor would. I'd like to know if the site's mission is clear and the overall impression that a visitor might form after some exploration.

The site looks OK I guess. Nothing special.

Your code is bad though. 136 errors, mainly because your using attributes that don't exist in XHTML like bgcolour. You can't just choose an XHTML doctype and just bung any old code in there. You have to understand that XHTML is a language all it's own and depreciated tags and attributes from old retired versions of HTML won't fly.

Work through your errors, fix your code. That is the first, most important step.
