Re: Word Wiz

Not really much to cirtique.

The colour scheme works and I think it fits the genre well, will be good to see it when it is finished.

Re: Word Wiz

Just one note of Warning.

If you can't write valid code for a site with one image - think about the real site.

Re: Word Wiz

haha he wasn't trying to write valid code - missing an alt tag is trivial.

I like the colors. It looks too spacious right now but when it gets text inserted, it will look way better.

You shouldn't have to try to write valid code - it should come naturally.
Especially if you make websites a lot.

No matter what a website's purpose is, either to display a massive image, advertise, etc... it should be valid and that's that!

Re: Word Wiz

I kind of agree but it's an easy mistake to make, and one that I'm sure DG will rectify.

I really like the site, will be interesting to see how you put it together in CSS.

Re: Word Wiz

To be fair, even I wouldn't care about this validation error. It's not a website. It's just a mockup image.

Validation has a purpose. Making validation into a religious mantra leads to people forgetting that purpose. Standards-compliant design should be motivated by an understanding of the practical benefits, not because it's an article of faith. Faith distorts judgement.

Let's judge the quality of his code when he presents it, not before.
