Hi,

I am hoping this is the final design for my webpage. Please tell me what you think. Also any suggestions on the navbar or the logo position would be helful. Because i know the logo should be in the top somewhere but im not sure how to incorporate it there.

Re: My Web Design Site

I am going to be perfectly honest here and say that it think it looks exactly the same as a Wordpress template, i don't like it.

I feel it isn't up to scratch for a Web Designer and i expect a lot better.

One thing that i have to give you credit for is you have chosen a Strict doctype and stuck to it (it validates!). Well done.

Sorry for being so harsh!!

Re: My Web Design Site

thank you. I agree. I chose this design because i want it to be simple and clean but at the same time jump out at you and grab your attention. But I still have yet to achieve the attention garbbing. Any Ideas?

I think it is too plain... I want more images.... Possibly pictures or cheap prices

Re: My Web Design Site

I don't know... Something that draws the users attention... Cheap prices usually do that (I am using cheap prices as an example BTW).

Re: My Web Design Site

Everything is cluttered on your contact page, play around with the order until it looks appealing.
The container needs to be wider, it's restricting being so small.
Atm it's roughly 700px wide, maybe boost that upto to 900px?

Re: My Web Design Site

No, no no!! Don't have your website 900px wide for accessibility reasons. It should be 800px max.

By the way, since you've put it 900px wide, the background is trying to repeat itself again.

Re: My Web Design Site

Why don't you use your company logo in the header? That's something you want people to recognize, right?

Try to outline the logo with a contrasting colour. Look at the webforumz logo to see what I mean..

Use PNG It supports a transparent background. Make sure you set the height and width in your code though..

Re: My Web Design Site

I think he means use transparency so that you can see the blue line thingy.

There are fixes that you can use to make it work in IE6: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/.
