Been busy recently but just made a one page design for a friend of my family.

What do you think about all of the aspects before I go and show it to them?

first i like its clean and simplicity design, nice
but i wonder black color for wedding is not suitable, if you can change it to some bright colors that fits with weddings
also maybe this could help u too, because i have wide monitor, maybe ur flower things on background will cut suddenly, if you could make it nicer at the end edges it will look better.

I'm with marSoul on this one ... black background for wedding cakes? I know it's not "just" wedding cakes but that your main clientèle.

I think white and pink would be better. Not a bad site otherwise.

This was one of those client is always right cases.
They didn't want a traditional white and pink sites. They decided they wanted to stand out from their competition. I can kind of see where they're coming from, so I've tried to do the best I can with their brief!

I'll look at fading the edges of the background out for higher resolutions, thanks for that suggestion!

I'm with MarSoul and Karinne. It's a lovely design and I really like the black and pink combination but it is just plain wrong for the particular niche you're in. I think wedding cakes, I think white, light pinks, light blues.

You have two options. Change your colours or offer funeral cakes as your main product.

On a more positive note, Very nice clean, valid markup. Don't neglect it as you progress your site.
