Re: EGT Online Shop

Looks worse than ever imo.

Can hardly read the links in the sidebar now.

Far far too busy colour wise.

As I said before: stop trying so hard. Make it simpler.

Look at this website: http://www.alistapart.com/ . That's an example of good taste. It's not flashy; it uses a few muted colours harmoniously; it isn't trying for "wow effect".

Your website is an example of bad taste. It's tat. Were it a car, a rapper might drive it; but never a Lord. Were it jewellery, a footballer's wife might wear it; but never a Lady.

Tone it down. In terms of design, I think you should start from scratch. Get rid of all your current graphics.

On the plus side, at least now the links are readable. Keep going.

Re: EGT Online Shop

Ok I have toned it down, See if the changes are good.

I have erased the second bar all-together. And I have done some final color matching.

Re: EGT Online Shop

Better but only just.

Still looks amature. Th gold border around the big centre image looks stretched and nasty and the image overlaps it in the right hand corners.

Blue, Yellow, gold, green grey... It's kinda clear that you don't really understand what colours work together which is fine... not everyone has that eye for things like that. Just it might be in your best interest to get someone who is that way minded to look at it and suggest some colour schemes.

Re: EGT Online Shop

Yeah, lookin better now.

I think you should address the code situation next though as a matter of urgency.

No Doctype, inline styles, mixtures of Divs and Tables, Inline Scripts... it's a train wreck.

Well ... he already explained the reason for the DOCTYPE as well as other things he can't change because of CafePress.

I have brought that up and many other things with cafe press, in fact I think they are sick of me with all the communication I send them on a daily basis.

You all are very helpful, THANK YOU! Also I have to tell you the blue boxes, are being replaced. I don't know why I have them. I'll do a basic underline.

I'm just saying if I used a tool that coughed up code like that and I couldn't do anything but "live with it"... I'd jump ship... and I mean quick sharp.
