what do you all think this time?

btw. its really REALLY important you clear the cache this time (ctrl+F5) on each page, this time it looks really weird when it uses the old images!!

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

do you test in IE?
in FF it looks a bit odd
is the header supposed to cover the width of the page? or be centered?
this image:
http://www.bluefuzz.co.uk/bluefuzz.png

the reflection is ugly,
do it again but don't make the reflection wiggly

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

i will be making a contact page. but at the moment im concentrating on the design.

i've tested in both IE and FF, both look identical to me, and how i want it.

the blue bar should fill the width of the page

bluefuzz.png should be to the left of the page, on the blue bar

i was unure of the ripple on the reflection too. i'll get rid of it

Overall it is a solid start. Well done.

Try changing to STRICT doctypes and validating both HTML and CSS.

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

i've tried using a strict DTD for my pages, however it doesnt validate as i use target="_blank" in my links which it says isn't supported. is there a way to do this other than using the transitional DTD?

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

Hey that's a nice start!

What else are you planning to add? Any photos, graphics, or other items to add interest?

It's a little too bland at the moment so I'm just wondering if it done.

If you really want people to hire you, I'd rewrite the service page. Right now you sound like a hobbiest that sort of wants clients.

Good start..

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

i've made the contact page now, that works nicely.

i came to the conclusion that its not really important that the links open in a new window so i just removed all the 'target' bits.

i realise its a bit bland, but i am unsure of what to add, i only have a small portfolio and i dont really know what other things i could add to make it more interesting, what do you all think i could do?

thanks about the tip on the service page, though really it is a bit of a hobby!! also i am unsure if i need to be registered as a business in order to say otherwise. (anyone know?) if i work and advertise as a freelance web designer do i have to be self employed for that too (meaning i have to register as a business)?

the rollover effect (blue -> red)
is a little much
blue -> lighter blue
would be nicer

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

yes, does it work yet?
you may want to do some fieldchecking to check that the required fields are entered

Marc that's a general question.
I think they are capable of answering more than one question.

Re: bluefuzz (resubmission no2)

the form does work. i havent set any required fields, i can't really be bothered. if someone wants me to do some work for them surely they will provide enough info for me to do it.

the rollovers should be a kind of white to red, though i take your point, i'm not sure what colour to use as the hover colour. any ideas?

any more comments? should i see if i can seek out some royalty free graphics to add some more appeal to my site?
