Flash still has plenty of uses and used correctly -- I love it!

This site is great, really shows off what you can do.. I wouldn't visit more than once but I still love it.

May I ask where you learned flash -- just mucking about or a book? I really want to get some skills in it.

Flash is fine for video or animations.

The problems occur when people start thinking that web pages should be animated.

I only looked at the newer "under construction" site.

This site has a nasty case of "mystery meat navigation": the navigation is hidden until the user hovers over the shapes. This makes your navigation a success as "cool animated thing", but a dismal failure as navigation.

Google reads flash. its just google dosent rank it high.

i ask this. the web would be so boring without flash. there are so many creative sites out their. and you tube seems to love FLV

Like MikeHopley said; Flash is fine for Video and Little animations... and games as well.

Building entire sites and pages with it is a bad idea though.

I self taught myself flash back in 2003. then i stopped using it for 2 years then yeah i got back into it.

the best way to learn it is to use it. get a Book or two. I recomend "Advanced Actionscripting" thats a really neat book. Then when ever you need some help use the net. my fav sites for flash tutorials are http://www.actionscript.org and http://www.kirupa.com the creativity side of things are left upto you.

Flash is not a dying technology, to quote minute44. It is more a misused and misunderstood technology.

Yes flash, is bulky, clunky, and slow. But flash has the potential to allow sophisticated server code, and enough 'pizazz' on a web site to sell it.

Rather than blame flash, blame the developers of flash that misuse it.

Ok now back on topic to your site. I think its ok 4/5, but you really need either a more fluid version (telling users or showing users how to use it. Or make the links more "link-like" so users know that its links. ) You have blank space, you could fill it with great information on your website as a whole.

I love some of the animation. You show a lot of promise with the use of flash. If you build your website entirely out of flash, be prepared to lose potential visitors. Show the flash version, and have an optional "html" version, or make the flash a little more user friendly.

Other than that, I like the flash.

yeah i'm no longer touching that site its going to stay like that. i'm working on etoxin.net which i'm slowly building. keep an eye on it. if its down or somthing don't tell me. I allready know!!!!

Might I make a suggestion. I like the idea of the "Pills" and on hover enlarging, but the turning of the pill, seems excessive. You might want to do something like this attachment.

But I guess its a matter of opinion.

hey thanks for the feedback. the original menu looked just like that. but it looked to normal. I like stuff to happen when someone hovers. the logo is now linked to the mouse. so the mouse triggers some animation with the logo.

i'm writting a script that will make the logo have little "zZzZz"s come out of it if the user does nothing for a while. but that bit is still in development.
