This is my first attempt at hand coding a website and I think it turned out pretty okay. Once I have some more content I will switch to a paid host but I think this one will work okay for now. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

Not bad... Looks better than my first site.

You have 3 validation errors:
1. You're missing a character encoding: Add a meta tag like so:

2. Get rid of the "align=center" in the header image tag. Use CSS to center the image. Adding "text-align:center" to #header should do the trick.
3. The header image is missing an "alt" tag.

You've also got some CSS errors.

Good job on the div and CSS layout - fix those errors and add a PHP backend and you'll be up and running!...

I fixed all of that stuff and made the file size of my banner smaller so it should be pretty good now. Now I just need to write some more content haha.
