Hi everyone, I'm creating a website for learning stuff like PHP, HTML, CSS, and VB and I was just wondering if you guys could check it out for me and tell me what should stay/go. I'm creating it to help people and hopefully one day start making money with Google Adsense. Right now only the PHP section is working but I figured that it would give you a pretty good idea of what the final project will be.
http://phaced.com & http://phaced.com/php

Thanks for the help,
CaGe

Re: Phaced.com Tutorial Website

ahhh this is really really nice
I always like a new tutorial site coming out

The colour scheme and everything all work beautifully
I really cant see anything wrong with it apart from the rollovers take a while to load when I hover my mouse over them.

Re: Phaced.com Tutorial Website

well, good start, the only thing i would sa y is that i think you problally wanted your background white, right? well in my browser i have it set so that the background is not white if teh page does not specify it. so all you need to do, is put the {background-color: white;} in.

Yeah, looks nice, but I also noticed that hover problem on the links - when you mouse over them for the first time, they seem to disappear until the image has loaded.

The tutorials also look good and you have a nice writing style. Keep it up and good luck.

Re: Phaced.com Tutorial Website

Wow, thanks guys. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my website, because something can look really nice to you but look completely ridiculous to the rest of the world and it really helps to have a public opinion. I will get started on that image preloader right now and I just updated the white background and just need to upload it.

Thanks,
CaGe

I feel like you need a sort of border around the content, to seperate it from the white on the left and right.
I love the hover effect on the nav though. and it's a very nice looking site
