Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Looks nice, needs to be made in CSS/divs rather than tables. can't be that difficult to recreate this simple layout in CSS!!!
Also...don't think google will be to happy about your hidden string of keywords! Might want to not do that! |

Very nice..
Not much to critique yet. I'm sure in the background there is a lot going on... |

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Design wise, it's really nice and simple (which is good)!
I tried uploading a fairly large image, and it was very speedy! One question: which font did you use for the "Imagger" text on your logo? |

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Looks nice.
Maybe you could add that the users can enter tag words for the uploaded images and then make the site searchable....

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Hey. Nice site. It's simple but looks really good! Has some good AJAX too.
The only problem I see this:
I think that would work anyway, correct me if I'm wrong. Blake |

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Google knows everything, don't you think google - home of some of the greatest webby minds - have thought of this? Don't mess with google. They don't need you but you need them.

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Actually, Pete, Google do need you the webmaster, so they still have a search engine. If there were no webmasters in the world, google would not be in business and making money

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
But with everyone always pandering to google, they won't miss one new site. They are very quick to punish people who try to beat their system.

Re: Imagger.com - Free Image Hosting System
Looks nice and clean.
If you are worried about Google then I've read that the -9000px trick is preferable to display:none. Although you could experiment with wording and say what your system does, such as: "Upload images for free photography image hosting and photo sharing" Might not be enough but you could see. Not sure whether there is an adwords style that moves the "ads by google" text image to the top, but in the current position it's like a heading for the input fields. The add input link is a good idea although I had no idea what it would do until I tried it. I've seen some sites where new input boxes appear automatically when the previous field is used. That might be quite nice. Changing the wording to "Add another input" or "Add more inputs" would be a bit clearer. Some space between the input field and the Browse button would let the elements breath a little. You have links for valid XHTML and CSS, but who cares? You might when testing, but your visitors won't so it adds nothing. "I will convert PSD to JPG" probably isn't true, or if it is then you'll need to automate this at some point. How about "PSD files are converted to JPG". "alowed" should be "allowed", or "limits", "size limits". At the bottom, you say "Mesrop Mynasian 2005 - 2007". What does this mean. Your life span? (clearly not). The time that the web site has existed? Also clearly not as the domain was created 6 days ago. It might be the time that you've been developing, but some people give false information about the start date of their site in an attempt to create credibility, but they lose credibility the moment that anyone checks. Just putting 2007 is fine. Just some ideas and a good start. Good luck! Last edited by ioncube; Aug 10th, 2007 at 15:31. |
