Voyager
I just completed a Travel web site called "Voyager." I'm not sure how it ranks compared to other sites on the web, but I'm aware it offers much of the same, and the design is similar to many traveling sites. I think I did a good job with the design, but I'm still second guessing some things. Feel free to point these out, I just made it in a day so I'm open to changing it if someonen thinks it will improve it.
Thank You! -Conor |

Re: Voyager
Hey Conor!
Well first thing that I noticed was the poor quality of the logos. Voyager is very pixellated. Priceline.com's is as well and finally Frostzone is tough to read. The layout of the site is fine. It's fairly easy to navigate. It resembles many of the other sites I have seen out there. All of them seem a bit too busy but that does seem to be the trend. Now the code! Your code to content ratio is very poor. Using tables is not only bloating your code to the heavens, it's bad for Search Engines and is passe. You need to place all the css in an external style sheet and place all the inline styling in the css style sheet. What's this?
You need to work on validating the site as well. It failed ... I'd say it's a good foundation, work on the code, clean up the graphics and maybe take a few things out.. (You've kind of given us everything and the kitchen sink)... Simplify a bit! Hope this helps! |
