This is (I HOPE) The finished site and would like to know your opinions.
Please be gentle, I am not a web designer,but I have learnt an awful lot since being a member of Webforumz.

Yea I like that better now with the main pic on the hom,e p[age and featured products. Although its possible the featured products should somehow be made more prominent.

I think evrytime you do an update you should change the big photo, I also think it could do with less blending on the edges. I think it might look better unedited. the washed out edges don't look great imo.

I'm still not a fan of the shopping basket though...I know the woman is exactly the same proportions as on the title but it just doesn't look right on the shopping basket. Also why not try and incoorporate the traditional shopping basket logo into the design.

Below is one I just made in Photoshop. By all means use it, or use the idea. If you use it can you just let me know.

Also why not try centering the images by css rather than xhtml.

Just assign the img a class like maybe class="centerimg", and use the css margin: 0px to center it, ie .centerimg {margin:0px auto;}

By the way the 0px can be changed to give the img top and bottom margins...a lot of people I come across tend to think that you have to use 0px auto to center, when it is just the auto that does the centering!

I like the site better and better all the time. I do like 1840's cart image.

I agree with all points raised by 1840dsgn. Plus I'd like to add...
- I think it's important to see a close up of the products (ie.: zoom into to the product image), specially when buying clothing items online.
- I added an item to the cart, carried on shopping, then I couldn't see a link to see my cart again.
- I saw no information regarding my statement. Shops of this nature normally specify what will appear in my credit card bill and I think you may loose customers if you don't provide this information.
- featured products in the shopping cart don't actually link to anything...
- rename your files. remove all spaces and use + or - instead. This is a) SEO friendly and b) avoids broken links.
- I know there's a "size chart", but as a bloke, I'd prefer to see this information as a small chart, next to the product image itself, or under the product name. No details, just a small table:
Small - UK Size 10
Medium - UK Size 12
Large - UK Size 14
etc...

Yea it definitely has well done on that, and well done on taking our advice away and implementing it. For a non-web designer/developer you've done an excellent job. There are plenty of sites done by so called "web designer/developers" that don't reach this quality so well done.
