Alnwick Hockey Club

Hi, I would like some opinions on ways to improve my website, the site has been up and running for some time now and is relatively successful. Although I am pretty new to web design the site has been through many changes and I am still not that happy with it even though it serves it's purpose well. The header is undergoing changes as we speak due to the photomerge problems I am having (any advice on that in particular would be welcome).

The website does look good - it has a professional feel to it and the layout is clear and easy to navigate. The fonts are also clear and easy on the eye. Design-wise there are a few things i would suggest for possibly improving it. The first one would be to introduce some curves maybe between the header and the main content. Play around with the pen tool in Photoshop - adding and removing anchors. Also i would add a bit more line-height to the text and add a space between the paragraph headers and the previous paragraphs.

It's a good site. I would like to see the pictures in the gallery enlarge a bit more than they currently do. Also, you might want to look at converting the layout to be done in CSS rather than tables. Other than that, looks good to me!

Many thanks to all for the positive comments. Any tips for layout using CSS rather than tables as this is all I am used to? And as for my site not displaying properly in FF2, is there an easy way around this? I thought by getting the site validated that any problems regarding browser support may show up, or in Dreamweaver 8 for that matter. Again though thank you for the support, joining this site was a fantastic idea.
