OK,,,I can accept the good with the bad. I'm sure there are so many things wrong with my site, that there isn't enough time to cover them. Its a first effort, so any professional comments would be welcome. Its designed with Front Page. Ive tried to limit the use of graphics to make it a little faster, no flash or other animations. Id like to find out what I need to do to optimize it for the major search engines. Any constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks.

Re: Consign And Sell

Looks wise its...ok.

But code wise its horrible! Learn to use CSS for styling different elements and for layout of your site.

There's <font> tags everywhere which really is bad coding. Search engines won't like this code, they will leave your page quickly as they can't be bothered to read through all the code.

The site doesn't look like a business site. I wouldn't let you sell my items if I was sent to this site. I think you need to design a more professional look.

Sorry I may be being a bit harsh...you can tell its made in FrontPage...a horrible program lol!

You also have 16 validation errors, one being no doctype which is essential. Go for html strict.

Either you should learn xhtml and css and code a more professional looking site, or get help from someone who can if you really want a site that will show off your business.

Re: Consign And Sell

Ditch Frontpage! (It's discontinued by Microsoft anyway).
If you insist on using a wysiwyg-editor, try using Dreamweaver or find something on download.com orso, but please, do NOT use Frontpage anymore.
Like Mike said: the code is horrible. It creates way too big HTML-files. Learning CSS will reduce your page-sizes by (I guess) 70%.

I do like the glass buttons

Re: Consign And Sell

One suggestion I'd make is to set a font on all text. Right now the text is just defaulting to Times Roman which is a font that is not so attractive.
Even when you set the font you used Myriad Pro and that is not a browser accepted font so that one is also going to Times Roman. If someone doesn't have the font on their computer (which I do not have Myriad Pro) then I see Times Roman. So basically everything looks the same.

Your two navigations are not in alignment. The second one is closer to the left margin than the top one.

This is a "typical" first design. Not terrible, just typcial!
Keep working at it!
