I know it's pretty simplistic but this is my first use of HTML (no seriously, a couple of weeks ago all I knew was bold, italic and center) so uh... please be gentle ^^;;

Layout was made using tables and the images were all done by myself in Bryce and photoshop. There's still a lot of work to do on it with regards to content but any comments regarding space, layout etc and possible changes would be much appreciated.

Note: With regards to the portfolio, only the Photography section has content yet

PS - anyone know about how to get form content to send to your email addie? Drop me a PM if you think you'd be able to help.

Hi Inkers!
Not bad for your first site! I was actually expecting something less pleasing.
The one thing I would say is that you should try to center the table and see what it looks like. It would be nice not to have everything hugging the left margin.

Since you are just starting out and learning, why don't you skip learning tables and move right to css and xhtml. If you are going to explore web designing as a full time thing after school or dabble in it, why not just learn it the right way or the modern way?

It's not too hard and I'm sure if you learned this in a week, you'd be able to learn css/xhtml just as quickly. There is a sticky in the css forum with a lot of info to start.

I'm not crazy about the navigation becomming a bold font on mouse over, because it moves the rest of the links. Otherwise it seems like a nice start!

Thank you so much for your positive feedback! I'm already in the process of making some changes regarding the layout such as moving the image to align hard right to get rid of that edge half way down and so it doesn't look so squashed to the left.

I did make a very basic css to use through the site, nothing too complex because I have a notorious habit of jumping into the deep end ^^;;

It has been suggested I consider div layers but I uh... have no idea what they are. But, one step at a time right?

Again, thank you for your feedback

Well I've made a few changes now and I've added the vector section into there now I've also tweaked the layout and removed the hover Bold option, putting in its stead a colour change and also got my form to work. Yay me!
