This website is very new, so please bear that in mind whilst commenting!

We are both relatively new to website design, but decided to give making our own site a go.

The idea of this site is very similar to that of myspace and other networking sites. People sign up, you can add 'share buddies', interests, blogs, upload pictures/music etc. There is also an instant messanger, where you can chat to your 'buddies' who are online at the time.

You can also customise your page, to suit your mood or personality, and post comments on peoples pages.

Basically, this site is made for people to share interests and hobbies with others.

Just a few things. Your colors and layout are really nice. I like the combination very much.

The logo for getsharing.com is low quality. I'd concentrate on making that crisper or getting a new one altogether. Not sure about the navigation at the top of the page. I think all those terms on the buttons could be shortened up a bit. Such as "Search getsharing.com forums. "

The spinning globe is a turnoff in my opinion. Very distracting.

When I clicked on members links, I noticed loads of ads. I'm not too experienced in social networking but it the number of ads seems excessive.

yeah i would agree with you on the logo and we will look into the buttons at the top.
the advertising is simply to help us fund the website and will be reduced at a later date.
