Get pictures out of Flash library

Hi - I'm trying to redo a website that was originally done in Flash, in Dreamweaver. How do i extract the pictures out of the library so i don't have to ask the client to resend everything to me? It's an fla file.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
TB

Re: Get pictures out of Flash library

I think what you can do if it's a bitmap file, go to the flash library and choose the image you need to extract, then right click on it and choose "edit with.." option. And then from the "edit with.." option you can choose the appropriate image editting program you have such as photoshop or paint, then you can save the image file from there to your folder.
I don't know if it's what you really mean...

Cool Re: Get pictures out of Flash library

Aww, i thought that would work but when i right click, "edit with" is grayed out. I can pick Edit but that is just to edit it within Flash.
Any other ideas?

Re: Get pictures out of Flash library

Aha... so it means it's a movie clip file or maybe it's inside Tween...???

Ok, I did try it with my Flash and the step I did is: I went inside to the movie clip or the tween where the picture is, then select the bitmap picture and then right click to copy it, then I opened the photoshop then paste the picture there..!
But then I realized that Flash had compressed the image file so the image didn't show the actuall size.
I'm sorry if my tips doesn't help much, emergint..!!! I'm actually not a flash expert..! I just saw your message and tries to help . You need until Jacob tells you...!! Where is Jacob when I needed..!!! Jacob...! Jacob...!!!

hugs,
berjoe

Re: Get pictures out of Flash library

Ok sorry, I thought berjoe had this one...lol

Ok there is no quick export all images in the library option. But it is not that difficult to do. Here are the steps...

1. Open the Library (Ctrl+L),
3. Drag the picture out onto the stage.
2. Make sure the picture is selected, and...

File
Export
Export Image

Then a new small window should appear on your screen. Type the name that you want to save the image as. Then select the original file type, then click save.

Ok now another window should appear...Leave the dimensions and DPI settings alone, then under quality type 100. If you have completed everything exactly as I have said, then you should have a copy of the original image!!
