merge two .FLA files

Hey, i have been working on this scene which is a small part of a huge presentation.

I started my work on fresh work area, i.e. it has its own .fla file. My files called Finance.fla and the file i need to add my work to is called automatic.fla

Is it possible to do that??

i have been trying to do this for about an hour and have got nowhere.

i know you can import the library from one to the other.

Im using Flash MX professional 2004 ver 7.2..

You could just copy and paste. Maybe I do not understand you right. Just give me an ideal, of what you wish to accomplish. But as of right now I would just copy and paste the layers.

Ok so this is within flash right? If so you should be able to copy the layers in to the other document.

Re: merge two .FLA files

What version of macromedia flash do you have?

I would assume it is just click on the layer(s) you want to copy. You can select multiple layers by holding down the Ctrl key while you are clicking on the layers. Then you will notice the selected layers are black. (Highlighted)

Then right click anywhere in the selected highlighted layers, and select copy frames. This is different from the regular copy and paste keyboard shortcut. So do as I described above. Then open up the other document, and right click on the FRAME where you want it to go, then select paste frames.

That should do it for you. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Good Luck!!
