did you named "scene 1" as such? You can do this by pressing shift + F2, this will bring the scene panel up. Once you have it on the screen just double-click over the scenes name and rename it, good luck

Yeah by default it should be "Scene 1" note the capital 'S' that could be your problem. But as said by huesped shift + F2 opens the scene panel, from there you can rename scenes and delete scenes. Let us know if you need any more help. Good Luck!!
