I think this is something that you have done. It might be the java script file you have at the top of the page. It might not be built for a stage size that large. But look at this file.

I did nothing fancy just used flash's default embed code instead of using something that you have written. I would publish your flash movie and use the code it has given you. If you need to limit your users to flash 8 only. You need to use a different java script code. That one messes up your scroll bar.

Re: scroller issue.. please help..

Hi, thanks for the reply, Ideally I want to keep the javascript embed as doing things this way enables viewing over most browsers without any problems, using the default embed causes problems in IE at the moment in some browsers as MS got sued for apparently stealing activex controls used in the flash embed, there are lots of workarounds at the moment so I will just have to see what i can find.

Thanks again,
Mark.

Here is a solution to the problem you described above.

http://www.webforumz.com/flash-forum...s-or-using.htm

This solution will stop that problem and still let the user scroll. Plus this way is very easy and not as complicated as the one you chose to use.

I don't understand why you still would be having the scrollbar issue. It seemed to work fine on the sample page I made. I will take another look and see if I can pick out the problem.

The above link does not work. So I can not trouble shoot this problem. Did you get it fixed already?

Re: scroller issue.. please help..

Hi there, I have moved the site to main directory now at http:www.perfectionstudios.org

Ive added the embed script from the link you sent me and although it is working nicely from every browser that scrollbar issue is still there, its really got me this one has, never come accross this before and cant seem to find a solution at the moment but I've had to release as Im gonna start working on advertising now.

I will still continue to try and find a solution for this and will post it as soon as for future reference should anyone else come accross this in one of their projects.

Thanks for your continued persistance in trying to help me out.

Kind regards,

Mark.

Re: scroller issue.. please help..

This is really weird. I don't understand why this is not working. It worked in my sample file above. There must be some actionscript or JavaScript stopping this from working.

I checked on it some. I know it is not JavaScript. I also know it is not the code that you are using to embed the flash file into the page. That only leaves actionscript. So check your actionscript. I will keep looking for a solution. Good Luck!!
