Re: how can i make a progress bar
Sorry I am really busy. I have not had time to write a tutorial yet, with work and all. I will have you a good tutorial of both options posted up here by Sunday. Sorry, but I have to work tomorrow. So Sunday, is when I can post the tutorial up for you. Hope you can wait.

Re: how can i make a progress bar
Hi I've been racking my brains out as to how to add a pre-loader to a Flash movie I've already built. The Flash movie is basically an intro animation with music and then has buttons to navigate to areas of the site. That part is all created and working.
The problem is that I would like to have the percentage display and progress bar for a preload. I' was able to create a new file with a working preloader, which basically had an action command to show progress until loaded, then go play frame 3, where I then imported my 204 frame movie to. Problems were it kept looping and I also would prefer to do it so that its all part of the same movie file (so Im not importing a movie into a preloader). Im thinking the easiest way to do this is create a new scene for the preloader and place it prior to my movie scene..Any suggestions/links that could help me do this? The scripting/commands seem to lose me. Hope this chaotic request makes sense... Thanks Matt |

Re: how can i make a progress bar
Ok I decided not to take the time to write a tutorial. I will in the future write a tutorial for this forum. It's just not enough time in a day. I love to solve flash problems, and would love to help you with any problems you may have in the future, so don't give up. Here is a link to a tutorial. This tutorial costs $10.00. But it not only covers several different types of pre-loaders but other cool things to do in flash as well. So at least take a look at it. If you don't want to spend the $10 bucks then search google for one.
$10 URL: http://www.cartoonsmart.com/july_august.html Free URL: http://tutorialoutpost.com/tutorials/flash/actionscript Both are great tutorials. I would recommend getting both. Good Luck. Let me know if you need further assistance. Last edited by JacobHaug; Sep 18th, 2006 at 03:06. |
