Moving images jerky

I created a simple flash piece with some images that slide slowly while fading in. The movement is quite jerky, not smooth at all. I have tried various fps settings all the way up to 60 fps and it is still jerky. Using something normal like 25 fps looks rediculous.

This should have been a simple project. I can't figure out what is causing this.

SWF can be viewed at

FLA is at
http://www.evocreative.com/flash/home_images.zip

I would really appreciate any help with this. I am stumped.

Re: Moving images jerky

ok i take it that you are motion tweening this and that that the pics are symbols. You may only have one sybol on one layer this might cause this affect...or the pictures you are trying to motion tween are not symbols if that is so then convert them

Re: Moving images jerky

Unfortunately, they are symbols and there is only one symbol per layer.

Re: Moving images jerky

I would help you but I don't have macromedia studio 8 yet. I just need to break down and buy the new version. I heard it has a bunch of new filters!! Anyway convert the file format to work for version 2004, and then I will take a look at it and let you know what I think.

Re: Moving images jerky

ok I will resave it as MX2004 on Monday and reupload it. Flash 8 is worth it for the filters alone. Also the easing graphs are a great improvement. In addition the text aliasing choices make it allot easier to do smaller text. I highly recommend upgrading.

Re: Moving images jerky

Ok I have replaced the file with a version saved as MX2004. Link should be the same.

Re: Moving images jerky

The problem seems to be the images are not in the same spot in each key frame. Ctrl+Shift+V This is the shortcut to paste in place. If you want me to upload a sample of this i would be glad to!!

Re: Moving images jerky

Oh and one more thing, I only looked at the file for about 45 seconds. So I might be wrong. If that is not it try, changing the ease.
