Confusing Clock

Okay guys I am trying to make this really cool clock but i really have no idea how to in flash.

The Project:

Basically I am trying to make a clock that i can chage how long 1 second is and there fore change how long a minute is and therefore an hour but the only clock i know how to do is with the "time.getSeconds()" command.

I am trying to make it so i can say i want to have a a second be .2 of a normal second and i want to have 65 seconds in a minute and 100 minutes in an hour and 4 hours in a day sort of thing.

I am not trying to make it editable by users just by me in the .fla

-Thank You for any help

Re: Confusing Clock

Hi Adrix,

I didn't understand very well what you are trying to accomplish, but wouldnt it be simpler just to change the timeline speed (frames per second) on the specific areas you are trying to modify??

Cheers,
Bruno Aun

Re: Confusing Clock

i'm no action script god, but i know that you can use action script logic to count for you.

the version is different but the logic might be what your looking for.

Re: Confusing Clock

I don't think changing the frame rate is going to affect a clock as most clocks I have seen in flash have there own way of counting, which has nothing to do with the frame rate on the timeline. Most of the time frame rate affects animation speed.

Re: Confusing Clock

yeh changeing the frame speed doent affect actionscript at all you can make actionscript slow down the frame rate in places and manipulate it like that but not the other way around! how are you getting on?
