Please help with this flash code

Hi All,

I need your help. Let me explain the issue.

I am modifying a flash file (.fla). The .swf was made by some one else earlier and now I am making some changes to the flash my altering the .fla file for it. The strange problem is the when I open the .fla using Flash MMX 2004 and Test it there, I cant see a menu bar which is at the right. Even if I export the same .fla to .swf, still that menu bar doesn't appear.

I am getting the following error when I clicked on Control --> Test Movie in Flash MMX (the rest of the animation is working except the texts on the menu bar):

There is a menu bar at the right of the flash which is not apearing (to be more accurate, the texts are not appearing)

I searched with 'xxxxx' in the flash code (movie explorer) and got this in Actions for Frame 1:

There are also two other Symbol defination(s) which containes 'xxxxx':
Under homepage_mc, its showing xxxxx_pic2.jpg and xxxxx_pic1b.jpg

Under Tween 2, its showing xxxxx_foto2.jpg

Please tell me what is wrong. Needs urgent help from you all experts

Is the text included in the actual movie? Or was it overlaid on the page using something else?

I am unable to understand it. In case what you are telling would have happened, then I should not have been able to view the complete animation after copying just the .swf file to some other location. I even copied the .swf file to the local drive and run it from there. It showed everything. I dont know if there is some CSS or text file missing, should that .swf file run independently in my local drive ?

Most likely cos ur exporting to a flash player which doesnt allow certain functions, export to latest flash player and see if it works.

The Flash code was developed in Flash MMX 2004 and I am also using the same version. Still the problem is occuring. Please help me.

Im talking about the exporting version, when you export to .swf you can choose the player (flash 5 - 8) the earliest player flash 5 only allows actionscript 1.0 so some of the functions arent enabled.
