How would i do this...(tool bar menu)

Hi there.

I had a cool idea for my new site(s) and would like advice/help how to do this.

I have never used flash before, and im learning right now.

I would like to make an animated menu bar, which is triggered on mouse over.
I have created sketch images to help explain what i want to do.

At the top right of the website should be a semi circle like so

and on mouse over is should animatedly expand to this

www.blizma.co.uk/beta/images/tools2.gif

I would like this to be on either www.blizma.co.uk or www.blizma.co.uk/beta

Is flash the way to go?

And if so, any tips or helpful tutorials?

it is possible to do it in flash, but nowadays designers and developers trying to not use flash as menu in websites
but if you want you can easily create that effect with flash
its just simple mouse over function

you should search for creating rollover buttons in flash...

just keep in mind that the difference is design, the technical side is almost same as those tutorials
