How do I do the motion video thing?

Hi.

Id like to know exactly how I can capture motion of what im doing on the computer. Like the video tutorials where we can see what they are doing on their screen.

Ive been taking screen shots of a few games, but wish to make a video tutorial type video instead. I tried searching but I unsure exactly what this method is called.

I've heard about camtasia before... the others i haven't... there are alot of free ones available (most watermark your video's though).
