Embedded Flash into XHTML compliant

Hi Guys,

A thread that was posted in HTML has developed into a FlashMX issue so I thought I'd post the same question in this Forum.

I want to convert a embedded .swf in a XHTML page into code that validates. My knowledge of Flash is limitted and I've been trying to suss out http://www.alistapart.com/articles/flashsatay but with no luck. I'm obviously not placing things in the right place in my Flash movie.

Can anyone explain this method in a different way, in an attempt to make me understand it... feeling a bit stupid!!

Cheers
