Why cant i view flash content in firefox?

Hi aso, its just the same as the share lock homes site your helping me with......but i cant view any flash on any website

Firstly replace your head and doctype with this:

Then (my mistake) fix the closing </li> tag at the end of

Then ensure swfobject is in the same folder as your web page. Then check the browser you are testing on is using javascript / has javascript enabled

Hey, thanks. The main problem is not just my coding though, any website i visit does not display flash in mozilla.

Ooops sorry Danny! At least it meant I spotted that <li> tag though

Go to iATN and see if your browser passes their test at the top. If not, read the instructions on the page to enable javascript. If it does pass, it's something to do with your flash plugin. Most likely, it's the latter. If so, download the latest flash plugin

It passed the test AND i downloaded the latest plugin and its still not working, very wierd.

!? But it works in other browsers yeah? Check your file associations in FF (can't remember exactly how but it's in Tool > Options section - check .swf is associated with Flash Player)

Otherwise I'm stumped

You need the quicktime plugin then ... not flash

Strangely enough i tried that about 5 minutes before i read rour last post, it is indeed associated with flash player, still no luck though.

Do you have a firewall or virus protection software that disables all that?

I'm at work and *most* sites with flash videos or whatnot don't work because the firewall blocks alot of stuff.

Danny, Karinne has a point. Are you sure it's flash content you can't see, not Quicktime?
