How do I put music samples on a page? I've tried <embed> but it doesn't work in FF. All the things I've tried either do nothing or play the file but then close all FF windows.

Your question was previously posted in the CSS forum ... which has nothing to do with embedding music on a website.

Yeah, sorry, I posted it in html before (i really know very little about this stuff so I don't know where to post) and the only reply was someone saying it was a CSS question. Well, it's in the right place now so maybe someone can help!

Hmmm ... I didn't see that thread but I did notice you had already created one - Music Samples In Firefox - about the same problem ...

You need to use the <object> tag as I believe that the <embed> has been depricated although a lot of websites still show you how using <embed>
