how to make a converter

I don't know Converter very much, I want to make a converter myself just like ****deleted spam here ****, it provides so many functions, such as change background color of the flash, add watermark, rip audio, batch mode, I can achive part of them myself, but I don't know how to add water mark and rip audio, I have never seen such code, and that it offers serveral codec, this is my fatal disadvantage, could somebody give me pragraph code like this ?

I'm assuming that converter was made by many experienced programmers and took quite a while.
not really a job i would reccommmend doing youself.

I can use VC sophicately, but I don't know alogrithem very much,
if there are any books you can recommend?

Nope, this would most likely take years of programming skills and algorithm experience.
Not worth it when you can buy a program to do it for you for $20 or so.
