Stuck at the start, again

I'm trying to learn Flash.. following a recommendation on theses here forumz I used the last $10 in my paypal a/c to purchase a logo design tutorial from Justin at Cartoonsmart, then diligently followed the first 5 minutes or so before getting to the point at the end of this clip..

You'll (hopefully) see how he's filled the middle of the F, I'm as certain as I can possibly be that I did exactly the same thing as the tutorial, yet when I go to do the same fill it ends up more like this..

Hope that's clear.. any help you could give me would be much appreciated. This type of unexpected result thing always hindered my attempts at tacking Flash in the past, but this time I'm determined..

Thanks,

Adam

Re: Stuck at the start, again

Welcome to the Forumz Adam.

Well the easiest way to do this to lower the opacity on the fill of the object you create.

So, you have your F...

Then in the Line Color section pick a blue...

Then in your fill section select white as your color, and in the top right corner under the Color Mixir lower the Opacity of the FILL color.

THEN - and this is probably the part you are getting messed up on...

Select a Layer ABOVE the layer the text is on, and then draw your circle on that seperate layer.

It should then look like the attached peice.

Cheers,

Scott
