Can this be done?
Good Morning,
I was wondering if this can be done in either flash or fireworks. I found a banner ad rotator on the net that I really like, but the source code is for adding in directly to a HTML page to get it to work. Problem is that I designed the whole website by layers (non css newbie mistake) and need to just have the randomizer as a single file that I can just add banners into the code and it will show up on nearly 300 individual pages on the site where I already have a banner image space reserved. I have tried and tried over the last week and just can't seem to figure it out for myself as I am new to flash and still a beginner with fireworks. Does anyone have some advice to help make this happen or know of an alternative that they would prefer to use? The link to the banner ad rotator is at http://www.webhostreview.biz/scriptPreview.php?id=1 and there is another comparable one at http://javascript.internet.com/text-...d-rotator.html Thanks in advance for taking a look lizarddoctor |

Re: Can this be done?

Re: Can this be done?
I am not really sure how to get it to work with php. I am a networking and hardware goof that just happened to stumble into web building because of necessity and interest
What I kinda wanted to happen was to have a transparent fireworks or flash 468x60 banner which called on the javascript for the rotation. The ad banner images and links would be pulled from the source javascript file and I could just have the one transparent banner in my images folder and one file to edit when I add/delete an ad. Each individual page would just pull the transparent javascripted banner and start rotating the called images. I don't need the css or positioning code, just the rotator javascript code hooked to a 468x60 image that calls other banners. Lol, maybe I am just thinking in the wrong direction. It seems like it could happen, but I have tried and tried to no avail. |
