Re: need help on making a flash menu

It will give you the basic idea of how this is accomplished, then it's up to your creative abilities to make it look pretty. :-)

The only other part you might have troubles with is the blur of the text, this can be accomplished through actionscript, google for "Blur Effects in Flash" etc.

Re: need help on making a flash menu

Cool i will try it that way...... i actually made blure images of the text in photoshop which i then import as images into flash.... but if it could be done in actionscript it would be great.....

could you possibly tell me how can i get the text so crisp and sharp in flash?

for some reason the when you just type in flash it is not clear at all like on the link i gave?

Re: need help on making a flash menu

I don't know but i am not getting this thing right......

used the script you gave on the circle...... but mine just keeps on running on because the home shifts

the other one has a distinct button..... not going to work..... if you look at the link i sent you will see there is no button... the moment you hover over it the action takes place......

this is frustrating!!!.... due to ignorance but i need to get it done...

Re: need help on making a flash menu

There is a line in that script that has:

//stop();

Remove the "//" from the beginning of it and that should fix it.

The first tutorial with the circle is how this is done, can you post YOUR work so we can maybe see where you are going wrong?

Re: need help on making a flash menu

well i have attached the fla file..... the problem is if you look at the link i have posted your entry and exit is not the same, and if you run with your mouse over the buttons it finishes the animation completely but on mine it does not.......
Attached Files
File Type: fla Untitled-2.fla (80.0 KB, 11 views)

Re: need help on making a flash menu

Ok, I see what you are saying....

Actually if you look very close at the example you posted theirs doesn't either.

It's hard to see, but the number on the far right doesn't extend all the way out if you roll off it faster than the animation stop point.
