Webforumz Flash Competition!

What is it?

Are you someone just learning flash who wants to push your skills to the limit? Want to create something new, exciting, and unique? Or perhaps you’re a flash guru who wants to showcase your creative abilities and knowledge.

If you’re nodding your head right now then this contest is for you! This is your chance to showcase the knowledge and abilities you have gained during your time here at Webforumz. ..your chance to let the entire community enjoy your creative flair.

We are looking for talented community members here at Webforumz to create a Webforumz related Flash banner or animation! Below you will find the requirements for this competition. They are intentionally left vague so as not to hinder your creative abilities!

What are the Project Scope/Specs?

Content: Anything related to Webforumz! Remember Webforumz’s goals and mission statement as you are creating your project.
(i.e. why it is your favorite place to learn and hang out, or why others should check out Webforumz for themselves!)
Dimensions: 500x400 pixels
Size: As anything web related – we’d prefer if you optimized your flash production to something that is small enough to only involve a minimal load time on a 56k internet connection or no load time at all!

What’s In It for Me?

Entries will be thoroughly and fairly judged by our moderating team here on Webforumz, based on the above mentioned criteria. The 1st Place winner will receive the following:

1. Super Member Status! http://www.webforumz.com/announcements/29785-earn-super-member-status.htm
2. A featured spot in our monthly Webforumz Creative Coding Newsletter so your animation will be seen by thousands and we’ll place a link to your personal web site along with the featured Flash animation for everyone to view and enjoy!
3. A $100 prize credit from CartoonSmart.com

There will be other cool prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.


When does my project need to be finished?

The deadline for the project is October 18th, 2007. At which time the moderating team will take one week to judge the entries and decide on the winning design.
