Slider/Progress Bar
Hey guys, I don't get much help when i ask for it in most forums, so i would appreciate anything you could give me.
My company is finalizing a marketing flash project that includes a combination of flash and embedded video. One of the things that I am trying to research is how to make a slider control the entire movie so that the viewer can drag to a certain spot on the bar and *everything* will skip to that point. Could you guys please help me out? I'm not too good with action script by myself... Thanks so much, John |

Re: Slider/Progress Bar
Hey John, welcome to the Forumz!
A couple of things - this is definately doable which I am sure you are glad to hear. 1. When you embed video into your flash project you can create cue points in the FLV to trigger different events in the entire flash presentation...you could use the slider on the embedded FLV to control the entire flash movie. Read more about cue points here: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/8/ma...=00003484.html And in those cue points you can tell the flash file to "goto" and "play" a certain spot on the timeline... Cheers, Scott
