Woohoo! Finally got streaming music up on website, but have questions...
Sup everyone. I followed a simple tutorial on how to stream music, so I'm not sure if I posted this in the right forum.
here is the tutorial I followed: http://www.nunzioweb.com/streaming_audio-example.htm and my client's website is here http://www.amandacarpenterphotography.com/main.php My question(s) is this: - What I want to do is keep the music playing when you click on a link and go to another page within the website. Right now the music ends when you go to another page. Would a small popup window achieve this? I know if I change a "true" to "false" in the code that the player will dissapear, but than the user has no control on stopping or playing the music?!?! - Also, instead of Windows Media Player, I would like a simple Play/Pause button, much like Flash. How could I set this up? Do I need to be doing Flash to do some thing like this? If so, where can I find a simple Flash Tutorial on Streaming Music? As it is, the WMP controls are at the bottom of the page... Last question: I have the Active X "Click to activate..." fix on my web page. Why does the Media Player still have a "Click to Activate to use..." while the Flash on the page does not have this problem because of the fix. Thanks in advance guys and gals -Joe |

Re: Woohoo! Finally got streaming music up on website, but have questions...
For your first question I would have a frame in the page footers. This way the music can stay while your visitor goes.
for your second question I would use flash pro. They have a nifty tutorial in their help files that teach you how to do this And for your last question you are on your own. Now that I answered your question can you try to answer mine? http://www.webforumz.com/css-forum/50661-how-can-i-make-this-site.htm and http://www.webforumz.com/web-design/50662-how-can-i-link-my-ftp.htm |
